And so it begins... the official first post on the travel blog. I suppose this means I actually am going to Jordan after all. Even now, as I am starting (emphasis on starting...) to pack and finalizing the many details of this trip, it still doesn't feel real. Perceptions of reality aside, this is the place for family, friends, and complete strangers to keep up with me while I'm living and studying in Jordan for the next four months (give or take a week in Italy). Things won't really get started until I'm in Jordan, and once there, I'll try to post as often as I can. I'll try my best to at least post once a week, but judging from other friends' who have gone abroad and attempted to keep a blog, that won't happen.
For now (and basically the next two weeks, because I won't be in Jordan until the 21st...) stow this blog away in the back of your mind, bookmark it, share it with friends you think will care (or random people on the street). The next post will be from across the seas, in المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية
